In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the ‘Calm Down‘ artist mentioned that despite not receiving credit from those who are replicating his style, he finds it “flattering” that others are taking inspiration from him. Rema also shared that his aspiration has always been to bring change to the Afrobeats music scene.  “I’ve been on the road for 4 years back-to-back; dropping bangers, hopping on stages. It has helped my growth non-stop. “In as much as vacation is needed, I just don’t like to feel idle. I have so much plans for evolving this [afrobeats] sound. I’ve always been that guy who just want to change the guy and change how the game is perceived. From sound to shows, to branding. “Even though some artists will not give me credit, I know how many people [artists] have copied my moves and I am flattered by it,” he said.

However, Caramel allegedly failed to do so and instead tagged another brand. Icey also shared screenshots of the vendor’s chat with Caramel, which appeared to show that the vendor was pained and helpless about the situation. “I’m posting this because the vendor sounded so pained and helpless, so I decided to help her. She said she gives Caramel clothes freely but fails to tag her,” he said. The post has generated a lot of reactions from netizens, with many expressing their disappointment at Caramel’s behavior. Some also criticized her for not supporting small businesses, while others have called for more transparency in marketing. Recall that during a recent interview, Caramel had mentioned the brand of her shoe and bag but refused to give credit to the vendor she got her dress from, saying that the vendor didn’t pay her for publicity. @behold_hairandfashion said: “Probably because the vendor doesn’t charge premium and she doesn’t want to look cheap. But she’s forgetting that it makes her even more respected and highly rated if she helped the vendor grow. Being part of people’s success story is honourable, kinda make you a king so to speak.” @heynedu commented: “She shouldn’t have left Canada. Most of her schoolmates are en route to their citizenship.
Just an opinion.” @omohtolaa said: “Why do some celebrities have this same stinky attitude??? It’s annoying at this point ! Buying and not paying! Getting things for free and promising to tag and not tag??!! Like is life that hard? That is being a thief!! Lying that you will tag just to get free things.” @her_nichee said: “I’ve never given any public figure anything from my brands for free. Never! I’d rather use that money to run sponsored ads. Thank God I learnt from people who experienced them.” @exquisite_nasa reacted:“If it’s a Zara dress and she paid for the dress in full, she owes no vendor any shoutout. You people need to stop emotionally blackmailing people!” @goldprincessdavid said:“It takes caramel noting to help grow this lady business! Nawa o.” @swt_juie said:“This is absolutely unfair what does it take you to tag the poor vendor that is trying hard to grow by giving you clothes for free? God abeg oo these humans are doing the most.” @teeto_ _olayeni said:“But caramel knowing that this is a vendor who is trying to grow,she should have helped her and give her a shoutout,at least to grow her page….EVEN WHEN CARAMEL FELL OFF SHE KEEPS FALLING.” @accessbuzzle reacted: “This Caramel is a dev!I. Human being nor dey operate like this at all.” See the post below: The vendor who gave Caramel that outfit she wore in that viral video reached out to me now, she said Caramel promised to tag her if she gives her some clothes free, she did but Caramel tagged Zara instead. Smade, effusively praising Burna Boy, lamented the lack of credit the artist receives, calling him “the f*cking best in the world.” In his words; “Burna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, you don’t get your credits enough bro. You’re the f*cking best in the world.” In response, Burna Boy drew a comparison to Jesus, suggesting that even the revered religious figure did not receive due recognition until after his death. He said; “No, I don’t [get enough credits]. Jesus also didn’t get his own credits till he died, so who am I? [Laughs]” Shopsydoo, further expanding on the conversation, asserted that the focus has shifted from solely promoting Afrobeats music to achieving worldwide dominance in the music industry. Shopsydoo added; “It’s not about Afrobeats anymore, it’s about worldwide domination.” This sentiment highlights Burna Boy’s aspiration to expand his influence beyond the boundaries of a specific genre and establish himself as a force to be reckoned with on a global scale. Burna Boy’s claim of insufficient credit resonated strongly among his fans and sparked discussions within the music community. While some agree with his viewpoint, others argue that his talent has been widely acknowledged, considering his Grammy win and international recognition. See below;
