The first wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, May Edochie has allegedly begun divorce proceedings against her husband. A few hours ago, popular vlogger Gistlover disclosed that the court has given the first wife of Yul Edochie, May full custody of their three kids.

The court reportedly warned the actor never to go near the mansion to disturb his first wife. However, an insider who has claimed to be a lawyer has disclosed that she earlier saw the wife of Yul Edochie at the court today filing a petition to dissolve her marriage. The source said the lawyer of May Edochie, divulged that Yul Edochie has refused to be served the divorce papers.

A man has reportedly died of stroke after a divorce with his wife that prevented him from seeing his children. The story was shared on Twitter by a netizen who revealed that the man was an acquaintance of his.

According to the Twitter user, the man had toiled hard for his family, ensuring that all their needs are met. Unfortunately, he suffered a stroke which affected his mobility as well as his ability to work and earn. It was revealed that the man’s wife had divorced him following the medical issue, barring him from seeing his children. The tweep revealed that the man had died a lonely and unhappy man. The account read: “I was just informed of the death of a friend. His story is that of a man who slaved for his family, and kept giving even after a divorce forced him to be separated from his wife & kids. 3yrs ago he had a stroke which affected his mobility & earning capacity. Yet, he kept on going He needed support round the clock and therapy too. But there was no family around to help. Sometimes in the evenings, I would sit with him to keep him company. He would agonize about his family and how even in his medical state, he his unable to have access to his children. He was an unhappy man and this brought about bouts of anger that made people avoid conversations with him. But I understood him and I was one of a few that could calm him down. He was a lonely man who needed the love and warmth of his family at his most vulnerable time.”

The woman took to a Facebook platform to recount her ordeal and sought help on how to protect her investments. According to the woman who revealed that she’s a mother of three, she was afraid of a possible split with her husband. She had decided to register all the assets she owns under her brother’s name so she can have something to fall back to if her husband. Shockingly to her, her brother’s wife has filed for a divorce and she’s insisting on sharing of properties. Read her full narration below: “Good morning Ssalongo Ssali. I am a married woman and a mother of 3 kids My husband is financially well off. I am working at my professional job and he left me with full authority and freedom to manage my finances as i wish. I have saved and by God’s grace, i have secretly accumulated a number of property including rentals, various plots of land, bodabodas for business etc. To be honest with you Ssalongo, i registered most of my property into my brother’s names with fear that in case my husband divorces me, i have all my property and i move on. Unfortunately my brother’s wife of 2 kids has recently filed for divorce and wants more than half of his property and fortune. To make matters worse, she is aware of all property registered in her husband’s names including my investments! And she’s very serious with divorce and property sharing! Achraf Hakimi’s ex-wife, Hiba Abouk breaks silence amidst divorce saga

Following her divorce from Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi, his ex-wife Hiba Abouk breaks silence following their rocky divorce.

Abouk stated that despite the rape charges against Hakimi, she was at peace with the situation but needed time to come to terms with the shock. She also revealed that the couple had been going through a divorce since Hakimi’s accusation of rape in February. Speaking to ELLE, Hakimi’s ex-wife said, “I am fine. For me it’s a premise not to rush in moments of crisis.” On the other hand, it has been alleged that resolving the settlement may pose difficulties since Hakimi has reportedly listed a significant portion of his riches under his mother’s name. Abouk and Hakimi are parents to two children, Amín and Naim, aged 3 and 1 respectively. The couple tied the knot in 2020, after getting acquainted in 2018.

Nollywood actress, Mary Njoku has spoken out regarding the scandal surrounding the divorce of Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi.

According to the actress, it is unlikely that any mother, particularly an African mother, would completely let go of her teenage son, regardless of whether he is married or not. Njoku went on to suggest that many of the contracts signed by Hakimi were likely signed when he was underage, and therefore, putting his assets in his mother’s name was not intentional.

Instead of attempting to recover her husband’s assets, Njoku believes that Hiba Abouk should have focused on making more money for herself. News of the Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi and his wife’s divorce had made headlines after it was found that the Achraf had little to his name. The football player had apparently been stacking 80% of his income into his mum’s account and had his other properties in her name.

Many men (and some women) have rejoiced over Achraf’s wit while others have slammed him for distrusting his wife in the first place.

Peter Okoye reacts to Achraf Hakimi’s divorce scandal

Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye, has expressed his views regarding the divorce scandal of Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi.

Recall that, Achraf Hakimi’s wife, Hiba Abouk filed for divorce after the footballer allegedly cheated on her while she and their children were away in Dubai and is allegedly demanding half of his assets. However, she was informed by the lawyers that her husband has no legal assets, as all his properties are in his mother’s name.

In response to the scandal, Peter Okoye stated that he does not understand why men are celebrating this story. He believes that people should not marry women they do not trust, unless they expect their wife to suffer after the divorce. “#MyOwnViewsAndOpinion I don’t understand why most men are rejoicing over this Hakimi story? Like I don’t get it. The truth is bitter but needs to be told. If you don’t trust her then don’t marry as simple as that. Or are you expecting your wife to surfer after divorce?” He wrote.
