Sick man sleeps in front of bank over refusal to withdraw

A sick man has been seen in a video sleeping in front of a bank after the bank refused him withdrawal to pay his medical bills.

The aged man paid a visit to his bank to withdraw money but due to the shortage of new naira notes, he was unable to withdraw from his account. After he couldn’t withdraw, so he decided to lie on his mattress in front of the bank to compel them to release his money for his medical bills. In a video making the rounds on social media, the ailing man was seen crying out for help while being interviewed. He disclosed that aside from his medical bills, he also needs them to feed his family. A teenager identified as Yusuf Alami shares his reasoning for standing in front of Peter Obi‘s convoy during a campaign in Lagos.

During the Labour Party’s rally in Lagos State on Saturday, Alami was captured in a photograph that quickly spread on social media. The picture shows him with his arms outstretched in front of a Toyota Prado SUV, while Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, was seen standing through the sunroof of the vehicle and smiling at the teenager. Alami revealed in an interview that he stood in front of Peter Obi’s convoy due to his affection for the candidate.

Alami, a resident of Lagos who hails from Ibadan, stated that he admires Obi for his helpfulness and has a strong fondness for him. He also expressed that if Obi were to win the election, he would pray for his success. The presidential campaign of Peter Obi was rounded up in the rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island on Saturday, after travelling to each of the 36 states in the federation. The rally was attended by Obi’s running mate, Datti Baba-Amed, as well as the leader of the Yoruba socio-political organization Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, among others.

Lady seeks advice after getting dumped for denying boyfriend in front of friend who recognized him as Uber driver

Young lady cries out for advice after being dumped by her boyfriend for embarrassing him in front of an old friend.
In a chat with a relationship adviser, the lady in question narrated how she bought her man a call for Uber business due to unemployment.

While emphasizing on how caring and loving the man was, the lady narrated the encounter that led to a breakup note from him.

“I met a guy who is compassionate, quiet, patient, kind, shy and very considerate. We started dating and everything was going on well. I can be super pushy and annoying.
The only problem is that he is jobless and I bought him a small car and he’s using it for Uber stuff. Even at that, he still buys me gifts and all. Though small but I know he will do more if he has the means. He treats me like a queen and he worship the ground I walk on.
My whole family love him and they are telling me how lucky I am to have him. He’s a graduate. Very intelligent. Just that Nigeria can frustrate you. He broke up with me because of the way I embarrassed him. He took me out as usual and I ran into an old time friend.
I don’t know how she recognized my boyfriend and said to him “are you not the Uber guy that took me and my friends to Benin?” She turned to me and asked if he’s my boyfriend.
I said no and I denied having anything to do with him. My friends can be lousy. Had it been I agreed, she would have asked me what I’m doing with a useless Uber guy. My boyfriend felt disappointed. I felt so bad that I couldn’t support my boyfriend.
I walked out on him just to prove my girlfriend wrong. On getting home, I saw a break up sms from him. He sent a voice note crying. I have never dated a good man who cherished me so much. My exes were so t ‘xic. Ceetee, have I made a mistake.
I’ve not told my family about this but they know I’m emotionally down. I’ve lost appetite and I feel empty without him. I called him with my brothers number cos he blocked mine and he still called my brother his pet name.
I don’t want him to know that I am the one that called so I cut the call. I know he will see this message. I don’t know if I have any chance of having him back. I truly love him.”

Man murdered by gunmen in front of his fiancee 9 days to their wedding

An Ebonyi businessman, Issac Nnaemeka Chukwu has been murdered by gunmen suspected to be hired killers just nine days to his wedding.

According to reports, Chukwu was shot dead by the armed men in front of his fianceé, Favour Chioma Nworie, in Abakaliki, on Monday, April 11.
Ochudo as he’s fondly called is from Ikwo Local Government Area of the state.
Chukwu’s traditional wedding was to take place on April 21 at his fiancee’s father’s compound in Ikwo, while the church wedding was slated for April 23, but these arrangements have been shattered by the horror.
A relative who quoted the fiancee, said that Chukwu was shot at night after closing one of his shops and proceeding to his car.

“He has a shop at International Market where he deals on provision goods. He owns another joint at Chukwuma Ofeke street Ameke Abakaliki.
According to the wife, the incident happened at about 9pm when they had closed shop and about to enter their vehicle.
“Some boys accosted them, first shot into the air, then ordered the guy to lie down and then shot him 3 times, collected the wife’s phone and left,” the source said.
One Egbo Grace, a former classmate of the late businessman, said he came to her office to proofread his wedding program the day he was murdered.
“Chai!! What a wicked world?? You were very healthy and happy when you came to proofread your forthcoming wedding program and jotter in my office yesterday that I asked you what the happiness was all about, you didn’t say anything but kept on smiling but I didn’t know it will be your last happy moment with me”
“When leaving my office yesterday after the proofreading, you promised to come back today and give us part of the money so that we will start producing the job as your wedding is in nine days time but late in the night, I received a call from one of your friends that someone shot you in your shop and you’re no more, I didn’t believe it until your wife called me at the early hour of today to inform me of your death
“You were an easy going person and jovial, even in our primary and secondary school days, I had never seen you quarrel with anybody. Chai! Your death hurt me to the marrow. God knows the best. Adieu Isaac. Adieu Ochudo. Rest in peace my classmate.”

Man alerts the public after baby was dumped in front of his house in Lagos State (Video)

A Twitter user identified by his handle as @Euronaire has alerted the public after a baby was dumped in front of his house in Lagos State.

According to him, the baby was probably dumped at midnight. Sharing a video of the child, he urged netizens to help in circulating it over the social media space.
Cybercitizens are also advised to contact Aboru police station, Abule Egba, Agbelekale if they can be of any help to the baby.
He wrote:
