Popular Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh calls on the Nigerian Police Force to hasten their investigations and release the body of the late Mohbad for a befitting burial. It would be recalled that the ex-signee passed on on September 12th, making it two months since his body was been exhumed and embalmed by the police.

Tonto Dikeh in an Instagram story post called out the Police for stalling the late singer’s burial while begging for justice to be served. It is worth noting that the mother of one and her colleague, Iyabo Ojo had once picked a casket and prepared the burial arrangements of Mohbad with the hopes of having his body released soonest. “@nigerianpoliceforce @benjaminhundeyin give us mohbad for a befitting burial. We are tired of your carelessness and slowness.. if no one speaks I will, I have invested too much of my emotions, my time and my love not to see this justice go through.. Like QM says give the police more time, honestly we have given you all more time than necessary.. This is not a case to be swept under… WE WANT JUSTICE,” she wrote.

Renowned singer, Divine Ikubor, who is better known as Rema, alleges that many of his colleagues are stealing his branding and musical style. Without mentioning names, the singer who recently bagged 6 nominations at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards accused some singers of claiming his styles as theirs.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the ‘Calm Down‘ artist mentioned that despite not receiving credit from those who are replicating his style, he finds it “flattering” that others are taking inspiration from him. Rema also shared that his aspiration has always been to bring change to the Afrobeats music scene. “I’ve been on the road for 4 years back-to-back; dropping bangers, hopping on stages. It has helped my growth non-stop. “In as much as vacation is needed, I just don’t like to feel idle. I have so much plans for evolving this [afrobeats] sound. I’ve always been that guy who just want to change the guy and change how the game is perceived. From sound to shows, to branding. “Even though some artists will not give me credit, I know how many people [artists] have copied my moves and I am flattered by it,” he said.

“He is yet to give us a dime for Ojapiano” – Igwe Credo calls out Kcee over alleged debt

Igwe Credo, the mastermind of Ojapiano sound has called out Nigerian singer, Kcee and his brother, E-money over alleged debt. He said in a recent interview that he had only been given 500,000 naira in total and that he had not been fairly compensated for Kcee utilising his sound.

Igwe Credo gave an account of how Kcee and his group had accommodated him in a hotel. He did, however, add that at one point, he and his crew had to pay for their meals and travel costs out of their pockets.

They received 200,000 Naira from Kcee, who also promised to pay them more money later, but he never did. Furthermore, he revealed that everyone, including members of Kcee’s crew, advised him to focus on developing new music and getting viral himself rather than waiting for income from KCee. His main desire to KCee, however, was not for financial benefit. He expressed a desire for fame and attention, hoping that Kcee would assist him in gaining exposure and recognition so that he could compose and promote his music. Regrettably, Kcee did not comply with this request, instead instructing him to pay the bloggers himself, despite the fact that he lacked the requisite finances. Igwe Kwedu is upset because he feels he hasn’t received enough money from Kcee for using his Ojapiano sound, which attracted notice from all over the world and brought in a sizable sum income for Kcee. It would be recalled that VeryDarkman had stirred murmurings on social media after he met with Davido in Lagos. In his explanation of the events which transpired between him and the Afrobeat singer, VeryDarkman noted that Davido paid for the apartment space for a day and offered to pay for a whole year, which he declined. He revealed that after staying one day in the room Davido booked, he moved down stairs and paid for a cheaper room.

Davido has been called out again online over N1 million he allegedly owes a Unilag student, Mastermind, since 2020. Popular Nigerian music producer, Samklef, accused Davido of refusing to clear the debt and he called for quick action to be taken. This is coming shortly after a businessman, Abu Salami, accused him of owing N218 million over a business deal. Samklef gave Davido an ultimatum of 24 hours to pay up the young lad. He claimed that he had reached out to Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, over the issue to no avail. A vendor has accused social media influencer Caramel Plugg of failing to give her credit for an outfit she wore in a viral video. A Twitter user identified as @ManLikeIcey claimed that the vendor had reached out to him to share her side of the story.
