A defendant assaulted a Nevada judge in court, vaulting the bench when he was about to be sentenced to jail in a felony battery case. Clark County District Judge Mary Kay Holthus fell back from her seat against a wall and received some injuries but was not hospitalized, according to courthouse officials. According to officials and witnesses, a courtroom marshal was also hurt while assisting the judge and was hospitalized for treatment of a bleeding gash on his forehead and a dislocated shoulder. Husband drags wife to court, narrates painful experience to judge

A husband has taken his wife to court due to the distressing treatment he endures within their home. Despite being married, he revealed that he has been subjected to significant suffering at the hands of his own wife.

In detailing her actions, he explained that his wife frequently engages in physical violence towards him, seizing any opportunity to do so. He recounted an incident where she asked him why he doesn’t plead for mercy as her father does when her mother beats him. However, he expressed that her father may possess the strength to endure such treatment, unlike himself. Furthermore, the man disclosed that his wife has, on multiple occasions, destroyed all the clothing he owns, leaving him with nothing to wear to work, forcing him to borrow clothes from his neighbor.

Gunmen kill Imo judge in court

Gunmen on Thursday murdered, Nnaemeka Ugboma, the chairman of Ejemekwuru Customary Court in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.

Ugboma was killed by gunmen who operated in motorcycles in Imo while presiding over a court session, sources disclose. According to Punch, the murder caused panic in the Ejemekwuru community as natives and residents alike fled their homes. One of the sources said; ” The jurist was a law graduate of 1991 set. He was killed in his court while sitting. His killers came with motorcycles. They came into the court, dragged him out and shot him dead and drove off. His corpse was there as people in court fled. The whole thing is confusing because nobody knew any reason while they killed him. He was from the Nnebukwu community in Oguta LGA here.

When contacted, the chairman of the Owerri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ugochukwu Allinor, who confirmed the killing said that the branch would communicate with the public about its actions in regard to the incident. Henry Okoye, the spokesperson for the police in Imo, refused to take his calls when contacted. He is also yet to respond to a text message sent to his mobile according to Punch.

Celebrity barman, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, better known as Cubana ChiefPriest has sent a strong message to the Anambra State Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo following the demolition of some part of Prophet Odumeje’s church.
Videos of the clergyman being assaulted by the task force went viral online and subsequently triggered several reactions.

However, a report later held that Odumeje’s The Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry’s building wasn’t demolished rather it was the security/storehouse that was brought down.
Soludo on his part also asserted that Odumeje got a demolition notice in April, 2022.

Reacting, Cubana ChiefPriest while sharing a video of Odumeje being assaulted on his Instagram stories proclaimed that Governor Soludo will be judged by God. He claimed that despite the support Odumeje gave him during his election, he still exhibited such wickedness towards him.
