Nigerian man upgrades father’s mud house to twin duplex (Video)

A Nigerian man has melted hearts on social media after he demolished his parents’ old mud house and built twin duplexes in its place. The proud son who decided to show gratitude to his parents after he became successful, shared a video which captured the commencement of the building project up till completion. In a video he posted online, the man showed his father’s clay house before the construction work just started on the land.

He then shared footage of the completed twin duplexes which he built for his parents. Sharing the video, the man wrote; “FROM CLAY HOUSE TO THIS”. The heartwarming video has since gone viral on social media and many Nigerians have praised the man for his act of kindness and gratitude towards his parents, describing it as a rare act of love and an inspiration to many others. One user wrote, “This is the kind of news that makes my day. I wish more people would remember their roots and show gratitude to those who have played important roles in their lives. Kudos to this young man for setting a great example”. Another fan wrote; “I am in tears watching this video. This is what it means to truly honor your parents. I hope this young man’s act of kindness will inspire others to do the same”. Many fans have also expressed their admiration for the beautiful twin duplexes, which are a far cry from the old clay house that stood in their place. See video below;

A video of a Nigerian lady destroying her husband’s car over an undisclosed issue is making rounds online. The aggrieved lady attracted the attention of their neighbors who rushed up to the scene as she destroyed her husband’s car’s windscreen and windows with the stone. She also directed her anger towards her husband who was capturing the incident with his phone.

Looking towards him, she was heard saying “Video it very well. I’m your wife, I’m the one destroying it, Anu ofia”. At some point she switched to Igbo, saying “abu m nkita ara” (I am a mad dog). It is unclear what happened afterwards, but the neighbours were spotted standing by the roadside and watching while the incident played out.

Rage as Nigerian mother dyes baby’s hair (Video)

Netizens call for the need for Child protective services in Nigeria following a viral video of a young mother who rocked matching dyed hair with her baby. A video making the rounds a social media captured a mother showing off the state of her child after changing the colour of her hair. The child was seen with golden hair from applying chemical bleaching agents. The mother expressed joy while at it in the short video.

This however triggered a call for an agency in Nigeria just like in the United States of America responsible for providing child protection. Nigerian Eva Omaghomi stands out at coronation of King Charles

A British Nigerian woman, Eva Omaghomi made headlines as she arrives at the coronation of King Charles III dressed in a stunning traditional attire with a matching gele (head tie). Her attire stood out among the crowd, and social media users have commended her for representing Nigerian culture at the event, which took place on May 6th at Westminster Abbey.

Eva Omaghomi isn’t new to the palace, for 13 years, she worked for King Charles and Queen Camilla during his time as the Prince of Wales and her time as the Duchess of Cornwall. She holds the record as their longest-serving staff member, as well as their longest-serving black staff member.

This coronation of King Charles III marks the first of its kind in Britain since 1953, nearly 70 years ago. Former Nigerian defender, Mike Onyemachara, is dead

A former member of the Flying Eagles team, Mike Onyemachara who won a silver medal in Saudi Arabia in 1989, passed away on Thursday, May 4th, 2023. He was reported to have been in good health when his wife and children left for work and school, respectively. However, upon their return, they found that the food on the table had not been touched and Onyemachara had passed away. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear at this time, although there are rumours that he may have passed away in his 3-bedroom apartment in Ajegunle. Some of his close teammates have reported that he had been experiencing back pain in recent times. Onyemachara was known for his skill as a defender and played most of his games with First Bank of Lagos. He was also a valuable member of the Saudi 89 Flying Eagles team.

According to Reno Omokri, his experience in Northern Nigeria taught him that Ike’s predicament would’ve been settled quietly without the involvement of the police.

Nigeria student sent to prison for assaulting wife in UK

A UK-based Nigerian student, John Nwadiaju, bags an 11-month prison sentence and is suspended for one year for violently assaulting and abusing his wife, Kosisochukwu Echem. John who is a student at Bangor University in North Wales, United Kingdom, was on Friday handed the sentence, along with 250 hours of unpaid work by the Caernarfon Crown Court. According to the North Wales Chronicle, Nwadiaju and Echem married in Nigeria in April 2022 but separated in August 2022 following reports of domestic abuse and violence. Echem visited him in Bangor in the hope of reconciliation, but Nwadiaju allegedly took her passport and Personal Independence Payment card and repeatedly assaulted her. Police arrested him at the scene, and bloodstains were found on his person and property. Despite claiming self-defence, Nwadiaju was found guilty, and Judge Nicola Saffman sentenced him to 11 months in prison, suspended for one year, and ordered him to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work.

Tochi, a former housemate of the Big Brother Naija reality show, recently sparked an online debate after he spoke about the treatment of employees by some Nigerian employers. In a post on his Instagram stories, Tochi revealed that some employers tend to employ people for a specific role but end up making them do other tasks while underpaying them. According to the reality star, it is only in Nigeria that an employer would hire a chef but also turn him into a driver, cleaner, gateman, nanny, and more, while paying him a meagre sum. In his words; “Nigerians will employ a chef and turn him into a nanny, gateman, cleaner, driver and delivery agent and still pay him 17,500 naira.” The candid post by Tochi sparked an online debate, with many Nigerians sharing their experiences of being underpaid and overworked by their employers. A Nigerian man has thrown his wife out after finding out that she withdrew N3.7 million from his bank account. In the video, the man broke down in tears as he threw out his wife’s bags since she could not reveal what she used the money for.

His wife in her defence, stated that she had every right to take the money and she also threatened to arrest him. Irish lady calls out Nigerian ex-lover after catching him cheating

A heartbroken Irish lady has called out her Nigerian ex-boyfriend, Demola Shiyanbola, for sleeping with another woman in her apartment. In the video, she lamented about how Demola cheated on her severally while they were dating and which led to their breakup. She also mentioned that he had been staying in her house for two years while they were dating and even after breaking up, she accommodated him for months since he had nowhere else to stay. According to her, she had told him not to bring any lady he is seeing to her apartment for any reason which he agreed to. Surprisingly, she caught him sleeping with a lady he met three days before in her apartment. She said in part: “So my ex-boyfriend Demola Shiyanbola, so I’m putting this up because I’m sick and tired of letting him get away with everything. “After giving him 2 years of free accommodation with no rent while we were dating and when we broke up I allowed him to stay 6 months because he didn’t have anywhere to stay. “But I also found out he was sleeping with a girl he pursued three days after, in my apartment, in my own house.” Watch the video below:
