According to the security official, Burna Boy was prepared to take the stage when one of his team members, who was in charge of the stadium lights, encountered difficulties operating the equipment using his laptop. The lack of a backup laptop exacerbated the situation, as the London stadium operates under a strict curfew. If the concert exceeded the designated time limit, Burna Boy would have been required to halt his performance, and his promoter would have been obliged to pay a fine of £150,000 for every additional 30 minutes that they exceeded the deadline. A Nigerian man named Nnamdi, who was attending a course on International Sports Law, shared a video in which the chief security officer explained the incident. Nnamdi commended Burna Boy for his insistence on perfection rather than compromising with a substandard stage setup. In the video, the security official emphasized Burna Boy’s meticulousness and how he refused to go on stage until the stadium backdrops were functioning correctly. He wrote; “Burna such a perfectionist. Having a lecture at the London stadium and the head of security explaining how Burna refused to go on stage on time because the stadium back drops were not working properly risking £150,000 fine for each extra 30.” See below; Burna such a perfectionist. Man lodges in 5-Star hotel for 2 years, racks up bill of ₦57 Million, vanishes without paying

Man lodges in 5-Star hotel for 2 years with bill of ₦57 Million, vanishes without paying

Ankush Dutta, an individual who stayed at a five-star hotel in Delhi for nearly two years without paying his bill, has been accused of fraud by the hotel management. The Roseate House hotel near the international airport filed a complaint against Dutta and some of its staff members for allegedly colluding with him to evade payment. Dutta initially checked into the hotel on 30 May 2019 with a scheduled check-out the following day. However, he extended his stay for a staggering 603 nights, finally leaving on 22 January 2021. During his stay, he accumulated unpaid bills amounting to over N57 million. The hotel management alleged that Dutta conspired with the staff to hide his mounting bills by manipulating accounts and deleting entries. Hotel rules dictated that if a guest owed more than N300,000, the staff should inform senior management to pursue payment. However, it is believed that this rule was violated by the staff involved. Additionally, the hotel claimed that Dutta provided fake receipts and three cheques that were unable to be cashed. The police complaint stated that Dutta and the hotel staff resorted to various methods to avoid paying the bills, including deleting entries, forging reports, providing counterfeit cheques and documents, and exploiting the hotel’s electronic system. The police complaint read: “The guest and the staffers resorted to several ways to avoid paying bills. They owe more than Rs 58 lakh to the hotel. They deleted entries, forged reports, gave forged cheques and documents, and cheated the hotel by misusing its electronic system.” As a result, a case was registered against Dutta and several hotel employees, including the head of the hotel’s front office department, Prem Prakash, on charges of conspiracy, forgery, and cheating. The police suspect that Prakash forged the records and deliberately omitted Dutta’s name from daily reports that detailed his hotel bills. “We believe Prakash forged the records. He even removed Dutta’s names from daily reports where his hotel bills were stated.” He said. Efforts are currently underway to locate Dutta, who is believed to have defrauded multiple other hotels in India. The Roseate House hotel, known for its luxury accommodations, offers rooms starting from N80,000 per night.

“Please post anonymous. My wedding is in 3weeks. My fiancée and my mum got into an argument. The first day we visited my fiancée house. They told us her parents are not married.
That if I’m serious about marrying their daughter, I should first sponsor their marriage. Which I did. I spent about 1.2million to throw a small marriage ceremony for my fiancée’s parents.
My mum is still angry because of that but she saw how much I love her, she kept quiet. Now they have given us an exorbitant list. My fiancée and her parent’s wears is 3.8million. What they budgeted for food. Both the cooking and food stuffs is 2.4million and others.
My mum got angry but because she doesn’t want to embarrass anybody, my mum called my fiancée outside. My mum told her that the feeding is too costly. That she (my mum) will handle that. Just to cut Our target is 200 guests.
My fiancée told my mum to mind her business. That this is her wedding and she (fiancée) don’t need any body to interfere. My mum asked her how much is she contributing to assist. My fiancée just hissed and walked away. Mummy entered the sitting room where we were all seated, took her bag and left in anger.
My elder sister pursued her and ended up not coming back. My mum told my elder sister what happened. My elder sister called me and told me and requested that my fiancée should call my mum and apologize. I told my fiancée and she flared up and said over her dead body.
Now the whole family is in support of my mum, including my dad. They said if I get married to her, they will disown me. Wife has refused to apologize. She is even saying I’m a mummy’s boy if I choose to support my family.
My trad and wedding is in 3weeks and 4week respectively. Every plan is on hold and fiancée said she doesn’t care. What can I do in all this?”
