Veteran Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, ridicules a troll who called her an ‘ashawo‘ – prostitute – for expressing support for Peter Obi.

The mother of two had declared her support for the Labour Party’s presidential candidate while insisting on standing by him regardless of the outcome of the February 2023 election. In her words, “I Alice Iyabo Ojo strongly believe in Peter Obi & I stand Obedient in my choice whether he wins or not because my vision & dreams for my country aligns with the Obedient agenda..”
“I do not belong to any political party, I also choose not to campaign for any political party, but I stand obedient for presidency… so help us God.” In response, one Wale S. Akerele on Twitter attacked Iyabo Ojo by condemning her for supporting Peter Obi. “Whether he wins or not, my dreams align with peterobi”

A teenager identified as Yusuf Alami shares his reasoning for standing in front of Peter Obi‘s convoy during a campaign in Lagos.

During the Labour Party’s rally in Lagos State on Saturday, Alami was captured in a photograph that quickly spread on social media. The picture shows him with his arms outstretched in front of a Toyota Prado SUV, while Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, was seen standing through the sunroof of the vehicle and smiling at the teenager. Alami revealed in an interview that he stood in front of Peter Obi’s convoy due to his affection for the candidate.

Alami, a resident of Lagos who hails from Ibadan, stated that he admires Obi for his helpfulness and has a strong fondness for him. He also expressed that if Obi were to win the election, he would pray for his success. The presidential campaign of Peter Obi was rounded up in the rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island on Saturday, after travelling to each of the 36 states in the federation. The rally was attended by Obi’s running mate, Datti Baba-Amed, as well as the leader of the Yoruba socio-political organization Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, among others.

“PDAPC dey craze” – Peter Obi’s vice, Datti slams opposition parties at Lagos rally

At the Labour Party’s grand finale campaign rally in Lagos on Saturday, February 11, 2023, the Vice Presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, slammed the opposition parties, ‘PDAPC‘.

Datti was fiery as he spoke to the crowd of supporters who gathered at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) on Lagos Island. He exclaimed, “PDAPC dey craze” while addressing the enthusiastic crowd. The rally was attended by important figures such as the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, National Chairman Julius Abure, the Director General of the Obi/Datti campaign council, Prof Akin Osuntokun, Afenifere leader Pa Ayo Adebanjo, and others. Datti, known for his calm demeanour, was fueled by the energy of the crowd as he used a phrase from one of Nigeria’s musical legends, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, in pidgin English to emphasize his points.

“Fela talk say dem dash us democracy, dem teach us dem go, no be so?,” Datti asked the crowd of supporters. He went on to say that being a democratic nation does not mean that citizens in Nigeria are unaware of their rights. Datti’s words: “The fact say we get democracy no mean say we craze. Whoever thinks say we craze, na hin craze. PDAPC na dem craze. “Anybody wey come stand in front of you talk say dey improve the security of Nigeria, wetin happen to that person, tell dem dey craze….” The Vice Presidential candidate emphasized their plan, to guide Nigeria towards greatness and pointed out that the Labour Party has brought the nation together, ending previous conflicts among the population. Datti’s words: “Only Obi and my humble self are ready to lead Nigeria to greatness. Fellow Nigerians, Nigeria is that great country on the surface of the earth that bad governance has denied progress and we have to change it. ‘Labour Party is that party that has stopped Nigerians from fighting themselves and has united Nigerians.”

An Obidient supporter of Peter Obi stirs reactions as tattoos the name of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate on his chest.

A video making the rounds of social media captured the undying support for Peter Obi to become the president of Nigeria in the 2023 elections. The young man inked the tattoo of the presidential candidate which he boldly flaunted as his president come February 25th, 2023. The Obidient fan, however, was met with ridicule from many who questioned the logic behind getting such a tattoo.

Controversial artist Portable has waded into the online banter between Peter Okoye also known as Mr. P and Seun Kuti.

Yesterday, Peter Okoye and Seun Kuti clashed on social media after Seun made a comment about the Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi. He described Peter Obi as an opportinist. This comment from Seun Kuti did not sit well with Peter Okoye who in turn lambasted the singer. Mr P took to Instagram to state that his colleague had wiped away his father’s history. He said: “Dude just erased his father’s history! You said only the people of Nigeria can save Nigeria! Is PO and the rest of the candidates not the Nigerian people? Shame! Shame!! Shame!!! So disappointed”. However, Portable has taken to his Instagram page to berate Peter Okoye over his comment. According to him, anyone who disrespects Fela Kuti disrespects him. He rained curses on Peter Okoye amidst threats. Describing himself as young Fela, he said: “I go by name, portable of Africa, Anikuleti, Young Fela. Ogun kill you, You say wetin. I hear say you dey insult Fela Kuti, You wey be say you and your family still dey alive and una no still blow.”

Peter Okoye of music duo, P-Square has clashed with artist Seun Kuti over a comment the latter made about presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The clash between Seun Kuti and Peter Okoye started when Kuti said he believes that no politician can save Nigeria except for Nigerians themselves. Seun Kuti further asserted that even if Sowore wins the election, he cannot make any effective change in a country with PDP. Seun Kuti further tagged Peter Obi as an opportunist who switched to the Labour Party after losing the PDP primaries. Reacting to this Peter Okoye wrote on his Twitter page; “my late father was a nobody but today everyone knows the Okoyes! Dude try removing “Kuti’ from your name make I know weda anybody sabi you! Mike Premium slams Peter Okoye over comment on Seun Kuti

Talent manager, Mike Premium has silenced Peter Okoye for saying that Seun Kuti has ‘erased his father’s history.

It will be recalled that NigezieXtreme yesterday, 7th of February reported that Seun Kuti called presidential aspirant, Peter Obi an opportunist. Following his remark, a member of the P-square group, Peter Okoye slammed Kuti, adding that he has ‘erased his father’s history’. In his words: “Dude just erased his fathers History! You said only the people of Nigeria can save Nigeria! Is PO and the rest candidates no the Nigerian people?…. SHAME! SHAME!! SHAME!!!” His remark did not quite sit well with a famous talent manager, Mike Premium who resorted to calling Peter Okoye “dumb”. “@peterpsquare you are dum • for saying Seun Kuti has erased his father’s name from history. I’ve always known you to be dumb. What Fela did can never be erased and it’s not bad for people to have their own view when it comes to politics. U wey dey give free ticket to resurrect ur dead career”, Mike wrote.

It did not take long before Peter Okoye replied to Mike Premium. In a post shared via his Insta-tory, Peter revealed that Mike was only speaking out of “frustration”. He also advised him to learn from his nephew, Made Kuti, who is “well-guided and clean”. “Dude,l understand your frustration. But realize that the sky is big enough for all birds to fly. @burnaboy and other great artistes have climbed on our great Fela’s ladder to blow. Comport your self and pray to your god. Popular Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, argues that it takes the effort of dedicated Nigerians to save Nigeria, not an opportunist like Peter Obi.

In a recent interview on TheMicOnPodcast, Seun Kuti argued that despite his relationship with one of the Presidential candidates, Omoyele Sowore, he believes that no politician can save Nigeria except for Nigerians themselves. The legendary singer’s son insisted that even if Sowore won the election, he can not function efficiently in a country with PDP and APC controlled states. He pressed on to highlight how Peter Obi is an opportunist who moved to a socialist party, LP, after losing the primaries at PDP.
