In a viral video on social media, a group of Nigerian police officers in a ‘Korope’ bus was seen engaging in a high-speed chase with a group of youths in a vehicle, reminiscent of scenes from action movies. The incident unfolded in an undisclosed place in Southwest Nigeria. The video footage depicts a car carrying three young men attempting to evade the pursuing police officers, who were armed and making use of a “korope” bus. The motorist seemed to believe that the police officers intended to assault them, prompting their effort to quickly enter a gated estate to find safety.

However, the police officers managed to catch up with the vehicle before it could reach the security gate. A dramatic moment from the video shows the security personnel disembarking from the korope bus and stopping the car just as it was about to enter the gated estate. As they halted the vehicle, one of the passengers can be heard asking the officers the reason for the dangerous chase and why they were being accosted in what was perceived as an unprofessional manner. UK Police arrest Nigerian woman for falsely accusing her husband of 12 years of rape to gain residency

UK Police arrest Nigerian woman for falsely accusing her husband of 12 years of rape to gain residency

A Nigerian woman residing in the United Kingdom has been arrested for falsely accusing her husband of rape and abuse after he brought her and their children to the UK. The incident, as reported by UK-based lawyer Dele Olawanle, began when a man brought his wife and three children to the United Kingdom as dependents. However, soon after their arrival, the wife’s behavior took an unexpected and troubling turn. She became uncooperative, concealed her finances, and went to the extent of reporting her husband to the local police.

UK Police Arrest Nigerian Woman for Falsely Accusing her husband of 12 years of rape to gain residency

Upon arriving at the police station, the husband was met with a shocking accusation – his wife claimed that he had been raping and abusing her for over 12 years. The husband, a professional, was devastated by these allegations and reportedly cried throughout his time in police custody. The gravity of the situation caught the attention of a senior police officer who subsequently took charge of the case. What followed was a thorough investigation that unveiled a disturbing twist to the narrative. The senior officer, suspecting foul play, examined the wife’s mobile phone and discovered that she had been receiving text messages instructing her on what to say to the police in order to secure the right to live in the UK with her children, free from her husband’s influence. These messages were part of a calculated effort to frame the husband and put him in legal jeopardy. As a result of these revelations, the wife was promptly arrested and is currently in police custody. “BEFORE YOU RELOCATE, READ THIS Before you decide to relocate to the UK, do not only think of the money you will make or the qualifications you will get. Think also of whether your marriage will survive and whether your children will not be taken away by the social services or whether the children will not be turned against you. I am dealing with a lot of sad cases at the moment and let me tell you one. A man brought his wife and three children to the UK as dependents. The wife got here and became very uncooperative. She became very unruly, hid her money, and called the police on her husband. The husband was shocked when he got to the police station and the police told him that his wife said he has been raping and abusing her for 12 years. The husband who is a professional cried throughout the time he was in the police custody to the extent that a senior police officer became interested in the case. He decided to take over and investigate the case. He took the wife’s mobile phone and discovered that people had been texting the wife about what to say to the police to get the right to live in the UK with her children without her husband and put the man in trouble. Long story short, she has just been arrested and is in police custody. Aye le o! So, don’t just Japa because others are travelling out. Think of the state of your own family. Think of the wife or husband you are married to. Think of what they are capable of if they get into the Western World. This applies to men and women. A lot of you that are losing your family are copycats. You did not think of the situation before you jumped into it. Are you sure you are ready for it?,’‘ the post read. See below;

The day I almost landed in trouble" - Lady narrates how yahoo boys she sat with in a bus almost implicated her during a police stop

A Nigerian lady identified as @Atilolahafeezah on Twitter has recounted a harrowing experience where she narrowly escaped being implicated by internet fraudsters, commonly known as “yahoo boys,” during a police stop. The incident occurred during a trip from Ibadan to Ilorin, as she found herself seated with two individuals engaged in fraudulent activities. According to her narration on Twitter, the lady disclosed that during the journey, the police stopped the vehicle she was traveling in, and one of the yahoo boys seated next to her handed her his iPhone with an unusual request. He allegedly asked her to falsely claim ownership of his bag if questioned by the officers. Confused and frightened by the idea, she expressed concern that the bag might contain incriminating items. However, the fraudster assured her that the police would not inspect the bag. Despite her fear, she reluctantly agreed to the plan as she did not want to draw unnecessary attention. Upon being questioned by the police, both the young lady and the other passenger denied any association with the bag in question. To their dismay, the security personnel insisted on inspecting the bag, suspecting there might be illicit items concealed within. To their astonishment, the officers discovered an assortment of voodoo items inside the bag. In her words;  I sat with 2 criminals (gbona gbona yahoo guys) from ibadan to ilorin. When the police stopped us, the one that sat beside me gave me his iPhone and said I should tell the police men his bag is mine I was like how nahh that what if they check the bag and they see something that can implicate me, he said they can’t check it I was sha scared 😂. Then they asked who the owner of the bag is I said not mine and the guy also denied I was like haa 😂 Alakoba re o. So, they opened the bag and they met calabash, soap, clothes and some books. The other guy didn’t carry any bag but the police was bent on him carrying something. So, one of them entered the car and searched where he seated, geh geh un 😂 the man brought out a small plastic inside nylon 😂😭 i was like hafeezahhh so you sat with criminals 😭. The guy sha rushed to the man and begged him not to cast him to his colleagues. If you are not contented as a lady, you are in trouble and they will use you. I’m sure they will release them and collect money from them. Ki olori sho ara o🙏❤️” See below;

Admission seeker extorted by Police receives refund following viral report

Sodiq Oladebo, an admission seeker who was extorted by officers attached to the Osun State Police Command, has been refunded the N20,000 that was unlawfully taken from him. The incident, which occurred while Oladebo was traveling from Osun to Benin, Edo State, was brought to light by the victim himself, prompting swift action from the authorities. Following NigezieXtreme initial report on the extortion incident, Oladebo’s brother, Suleman, confirmed to The Punch that the full amount extorted had been returned. “They have refunded it just now. My brother just called me. I commend the Nigeria Police, especially the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, and the Osun State Command’s PRO for their efforts,” Suleman revealed. The Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, had previously urged Oladebo to reach out, assuring him that she had been actively working on the matter since becoming aware of it. In a tweet, Opalola stated her commitment to resolving the issue, urging the victim to contact her. She tweeted; “Since I heard about the extortion of the admission seeker by some policemen in Osun State, I have been working seriously on the matter and of course, I have made success. I want that victim to please call or chat with me.” Recounting the incident, Oladebo explained that while traveling along the Ilesa Expressway, their vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint by police officers. After searching their bags and finding nothing incriminating, the officers intimidated Oladebo and demanded a sum of N100,000 from him, threatening to take him to the police station if he failed to comply. Having only N99,000 in his Palm Pay application, which was intended to be used for purchasing an Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) form for university admission, Oladebo eventually transferred N20,000 to a Point-of-Sale operator, as demanded by the officers. With the refund of the extorted amount, Oladebo’s ordeal has reached a satisfactory conclusion.
