Popular music producer, Don Jazzy blesses a student with 500 thousand naira following lamentations over school struggles.

The student had sent a message to the Mavin Records boss, saying that school had become to difficult and everything felt like a struggle. The unidentified student added that they’re currently at a breaking point and needs hug from Don Jazzy. “Currently going through it at school. Almost at my breaking point with literally everything. I need a big hug,” the student wrote. Don Jazzy commiserated with the student and asked if receiving 500 thousand naira would be enough ‘hug’ for her. He said that if that would be enough, she should send her account number to him, while also apologizing to the student for having replied her messages late. Watch the video below:

100-level student slumps, dies during lecture in Ilorin

During a lecture in class, Aminat Tajudeen, a 100-level student at Kwara State College of Education Ilorin, collapsed and passed away. According to reports, the incident took place on Wednesday at approximately 1:30 pm. Aminat had previously received her matriculation gown for the ceremony planned for the following day (13th April) and returned to class before the unfortunate event occurred. A member of the school’s senior staff, who preferred to remain anonymous due to lack of authorization to discuss the matter, revealed that Aminat was immediately rushed to the school clinic but later passed away. She was later taken to the Muslim cemetery, Osere, for her Janazah and burial. Speaking at her burial, the deceased father was quoted to have said that “she showed no sign or symptom of any sickness. We had quite a lengthy discussion on several issues before I escorted her to get a cab to the school.” The college Public Relations Officer, Mrs Abibat Zubair who confirmed the incident, told PUNCH Metro that she was a student of Music/Yoruba, adding that she was mourned by the college and students during the matriculation ceremony. “The Provost visited the parents yesterday to sympathise with them and also mourned her today during the matriculation ceremony together with the students,” the PRO said.

A theatre art student of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) makes a scene after being reportedly possessed by the spirit of Sango deity being portrayed in the act.

During a drama performance at the school’s auditorium, a student portraying the role of a deity lost control and was rushed out. The EKSU student seemed to be unable to stop the demonstration of Sango and forced to be moved out by hefty men who struggled while at it. “See how Sangos spirit showed up today during obakoso performance by theatre arts students Ekiti State,” the caption reads.

The student who owns a ride shared a video of the various cars which were left by his teachers at the parking lot. He showed off his lecturers’ battered cars which looked the shadows of their former selves and his, a Lexus, which was still looking pristine and in good condition.

Sanwo Olu orders investigation on principal who sent student home for having Peter Obi’s sticker on school bag

Sanwo Olu has directed an investigation of a complaint filed by a parent whose child was expelled for having Peter Obi’s sticker on her bag.

According to news that went viral, the child is a JSS2 student and was sent home to go and “campaign for Peter Obi against the wish of Lagos state.” The incident reportedly occurred at Odomola Junior Secondary School in the Epe area of the state. A slip had gone viral on social media showing sanction by the school’s principal. Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, the Commissioner for Education, who announced the measure on Wednesday, said the governor had approved the recall of the principal, who would be asked to explain the incident. “The Lagos State Government, the Ministry of Education and all its agencies will never instruct any school principal, personnel or teacher to act in such a manner. The matter would be dealt with within the scope of our strict regulations as the reason for sending home the student is unacceptable – if true. “, She noted.

Controversial music star, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable has once again demonstrated his largesse as he storms Agege community to buy and share edibles.

The singer who recently celebrated his birthday visited a market in a Agege, Lagos to set smiles on the faces of some locals who were there. He visited several stores, buying some food items such as cartons of spaghetti and giving them out.

The ‘Zazzo’ crooner at one of the stores he visited met a girl who was still in her school uniform. She appeared to be a big fan of Portable as he embraced her and promised to give her N100K. He could be seen trying to make transaction with a POS operator to make the money available to her.

Mother of late Chrisland student cries out as school reportedly demands another autopsy following burial

Mrs Adeniran, the mother of the late Chrisland student Whitney Adeniran, has revealed that the school is demanding a fresh autopsy after the girl’s burial.

You’d recall that the mother had taken to social media to cry out after her daughter died during her school’s inter-house sports. She had followed up weeks later with an update disclosing that the 12-year-old died of electrocution. Yesterday, March 2, the family buried their beloved child amidst tears and an outflow of emotions. However, the mother took to her Instagram page on March 3 to reveal that the school called the police, demanding another autopsy. She wrote: “CHRISLAND!!! Play all your games!!! They just called the police that they wanted a repeat autopsy. They want to exhume my daughter’s body for another butchering. These people are
a bunch of jokers. Chrisland, you had your own private pathologist at that autopsy examination ooo. He gave you the report, for you to even think of doing this is pure evil. An estate agent has been arrested by Police in Benue State he allegedly killed a student who gave him money to find an apartment for her.

Shagbaor Ugosor Japhet was arrested after reportedly receiving N150K from the woman to find her an apartment. The lady, Erekaa Dooshimaa, a 300 level student of Benue State University Makurdi, went missing before her body was found with blood stains at Brewery Quarters on February 22. Detectives traced her killers after going through her bank account from which she transferred N150k to the suspect. The suspect said that he used the money to stake a bet. He added that he later called the 25-year-old lady and hacked her to death. “When she arrived at the dark corner of the street where I called her to come, I cut her with a machete several times leading to her death. After killing her, I took her body with her iPhone and d¥mped her body on the street to make it look like someone else killed her.” Unfortunately for Shagbaor, the POS machine Dooshima used to make the transfer to him was tracked and he was arrested.

Whitney Adeniran, the deceased Chrisland student has finally been laid to rest amidst outflow of emotions and tears of sorrow.

It would be recalled that Whitney’s mum, Mrs Adeniran had raised alarm after her daughter died at her school’s interhouse sports on February 9th. Following an autopsy by medical experts, it was established that the little girl died of electrocution.

At her burial, it was a sombre atmosphere and her mother couldn’t hold back the floods of tears at the sight of her first child’s coffin. Friends, family and classmates of Whitney had gathered for the sorrowful event. Watch the video below:
