Nkechi Blessing’s boyfriend, Xxssive continues to express anger at the reactions trailing his outburst towards the content creator, Egungun for touching his woman unprofessionally. It all started when Egungun hugged the famous Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing during an interview at a recent movie premiere in Lagos.

Xxsive had called out the content creator and he responded with an apology while referring to the actress as his ‘aunty’ other than other ideas her boyfriend had. On his Instagram story, Nkechi’s boyfriend continued to lament his frustration at the video of Egungun hugging his woman from behind while social media users slammed him for overreacting.

In his words, “Maybe na only south south men get sense. Seeing some comments tells a lot Una really lack OT.” He continued in another post, “Ordinary girl when u Dey crush on if u see her dey hug another man all ur face go change Then u still get mind dey ask me stupid question B like una no really wise.”

NPFL takes action against Katsina United for dress code violation

Katsina United are facing sanctions from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for violating newly set dress code for players and staff. During their recent match against Sporting Lagos, a player from the club was seen wearing a jersey with a handwritten number, prompting the disciplinary action by the NPFL against Katsina United. The league officials are also tempted to report the match officials to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) for allowing the player to participate in the game. Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL, emphasized the league’s commitment to maintaining integrity and applying sanctions when rules are breached. Additionally, the club is accused of violating Rule C9 by failing to ensure the proper conduct of its officials, leading to an incident where the kit manager harassed an assistant referee. As a result, Katsina United has been ordered to pay ₦1 million for their actions, and the Kits Manager, Masudu Lawal, received a one-year ban from all NPFL activities for improper conduct.

"Stay punitive action against Mmesoma Ejikeme" ― Reps charge JAMB

The House of Representatives has urged the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to stay any punitive actions against Miss Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme over alleged falsification of her JAMB score. This followed the adoption of a motion by Rep. Awaji-Inombek Abiante (PDP-Bayelsa) at plenary in Abuja on Wednesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Ejikeme had claimed to have scored 362 as against 249 which the board recorded as her score in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) through JAMB. He said Ejikeme, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, Anambra, sat for the 2023 UTME and claimed to have scored 362. Abiante said on July 2, JAMB Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin n a statement, accused Ejikeme of manipulating her UTME score from 249 to 362 . He said Ejikeme came out to defend herself, that she actually printed the result from the JAMB website and had been a brilliant child all through her nursery and secondary education. He said Mmesoma came first in all the examinations she had been taking before the UTME, hence she posited that she was not capable of manipulating her UTME result. According to him, cognisant of the fact that uploading or downloading result of examinations or polls electronically, in Nigeria, glitches can occur at any time, hence the need to establish the facts before any blames. He said Benjamin had earlier alleged that some of the 2023 UTME candidates were parading fake scores in order to get undue advantage from the public, hence the need to investigate the allegation. The house, therefore, set up an ad hoc committee to investigate the alleged manipulation of Ejikeme’s UTME results and report back within one week for further legislative action.

Aregbesola to face APC disciplinary action over anti-party activities

Former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and a former Speaker may soon face the disciplinary team of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun state over involvement in anti-party during the last governorship and general election in the state. According to the party’s acting Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, members who were involved in sabotaging the party’s chances during the last series of elections in the state will soon face disciplinary measures.

Former minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola Earlier on Thursday, the party’s elders caucus had urged the former state governor, Aregbesola to sincerely apologise for his misdeeds in a bid to return to the party, saying the APC maintained open door policy for members with genuine intention. However, Lawal described the elders’ caucus statement as being in the realm of mere advice, saying the party will take its stand on the disciplinary measures against everyone involved in sabotaging the party during the last series of elections. He said: “We are the party and we know the members of our party. We know who voted for Tinubu and Oyetola during the last presidential and governorship elections. At the appropriate time, the party will come out with its resolution on the matter. “We are not restructuring the party, the party is intact in Osun under Baba Bisi Akande and Gboyega Oyetola. At the appropriate time, we will reveal the plans we have for those who engaged in anti-party. “I read what the Igbimo Agba of our party said but they are in the advisory role of the party. The party is going to make its position known, our people should just wait a little bit” Also, former Senate Spokesperson, Dr Ajibola Basiru urged former governor Aregbesola and his followers including former speaker Najeem Salaam to explain why he refused to campaign or vote for the party’s candidates during the last series of elections, requesting the former Minister to tell the world whether he is still in the APC. “Today, I am in APC, I worked for APC whether we win or lose. Go and ask him, which party he voted for in the governorship election, which party he voted for during the presidential election and during the House of Assembly election. He was our leader, but today, I am not sure whether he is still within the party. I am not abusing him. Even Asiwaju that is his benefactor, he didn’t vote for him”, he said. Similarly, former Commissioner for Works and Transport in the state, Remi Omowaiye, said those involved in anti-party activities should be punished before they will be welcome back into their fold. “We must not condone indiscipline.
