Kylian Mbappe – Getty image Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé is now free to discuss pre-contract agreements with clubs as his contract enters final six months. The 25-year-old’s decision not to trigger a one-year extension in his contract, signed in May 2022, has put him in a position to negotiate a move away from PSG in the upcoming summer transfer window. Despite PSG’s efforts to keep Mbappé for the future, including omitting him from their pre-season tour in a bid to generate transfer interest, the Frenchman has remained steadfast in his decision not to renew his contract. Reports by Get Football France suggest that PSG accepted a world-record bid from Al-Hilal, but Mbappé declined the move.

Newcastle, now owned by the Saudi-led consortium, was among the clubs against the ban, as their majority owners, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), also own several clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
