38-year-old lecturer and wife die two days apart in Yobe

Dr. Barde Luka Yelwa, a 38-year-old lecturer and his wife Godiya have reportedly passed away two days apart.

On Thursday, April 20, 2023, Dr. Barde, a lecturer in the biology department at the Umar Suleiman College of Education in Gashua, Yobe State, passed away from a heart attack while caring for his ill wife. On Saturday, April 22nd, two days after he died, his wife also died living behind a 5-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy.

The couple will be buried at Dagare Village, 10 kilometers along the Bauchi-Jos Road, on April 24, 2023. Friends, family, and coworkers of the couple have cried out in pains on Facebook. “We spoke just a few days ago after your Ph.D. accomplishment not knowing that it would be the last moment I would ever hear from you again.” Joeman Joseph, wrote on Facebook. In her words; “My dad had tortoise car. We came home for Christmas and was on our way back to the north. We had an accident and the car summersulted. Mum woke up 3 days later in the hospital and was asking about her husband and children. That was when they realized a child was missing. “Long story short, sm persons went back to the accident scene & true to mums words, they heard a baby crying under the car and that’s how I was reunited with my family. My father told me this story. Said I was a toddler when it happened. He still has pictures of the accidents car.” See the post below:

An Abia electrician identified as Allison Obiajunwa has reportedly met his untimely death after he was electrocuted.

According to the family of Allison Obiajunwa, their son died a few days to the funeral of his wife. The family have expressed shock over the sudden demise of their son. According to report, the electrician lost his wife a few weeks ago and was set to bury her a few days to his death. However he was electrocuted while trying to connect and change a transformer cable at Obingwa LGA of the state. A source told WithingNigeria, “The worst of it all is that his dead wife is still in the morgue, waiting to be buried in few days time. This is double tragedy or the family. We got to know that the electrician didn’t wear safety kits when the tragic incident happened. I don’t know whether to blame the company or the dead man for this criminal negligence”.
