Court cases would not stop hand over to Tinubu

Federal Government reveals that court cases challenging the outcome of the presidential election, will not stop handing over to Tinubu.

It is no longer news that come May 29, the transition of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima would take place. However, Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi is currently challenging the electoral process in court. Regardless, the Chairman of the Transition Committee, Boss Mustapha, stated that no court case can stop the handing over. This he told newsmen in Abuja on Monday, March 28.

He said: “The committee has been active and the refurbishment of offices for the President and Vice-President elect has been completed. The facility at the Defence House is ready. Security personnel of the Department of State Services and the Nigerian Police Force have also been deployed to the President and Vice-President elect. Protocol officers have also been assigned to both the President-elect and Vice-President-elect from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Intelligence Agency. The transition process is on course and all efforts are being made to ensure that it is smooth. On May 29, there would be a peaceful formal transfer of power to the new President. All litigation, whether resolved or not, will not in any way stop the process. The security committee has the responsibility to ensure that nothing happens to truncate the transition process. Nigerians are very law-abiding people.
Whoever has lost an election, there are provided avenues for those people to make whatever legal inquiry they want to make but the process would continue unabated. We would not create another constitutional crisis. On May 29, the hand-over will take place.”

It’s celebration time for Zinoleesky and Adekunle Gold as their joint, “Party No Dey Stop” tops the Apple music Nigeria chart.

The song rose to the number-one spot, just a couple of days after its release. It has pushed down BNXN, Kizz Daniel, and Seyi Vibez’s collaborative effort, “GWAGWALADA” down to number 2. Stop misleading women — Monalisa Stephen drags Caramel for shaming those who support their men

Actress Monalisa Stephen has dragged influencer Caramel for questioning women who do house chores for men they are dating. Influencer Caramel shared a video on her page questioning women who go to the houses of their boyfriends to prepare food for them, do their laundry, and do other chores. Accident Update: BRT bus driver didn’t stop for moving train

The Managing Director of Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr Fidet Okhiria, reveals what led to the accident involving a train and a BRT bus.

The accident which occurred in Ikeja area of the state claimed the lives of 6 persons and injured 79 others, according to governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu. Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria, Okhiria said: “According to the information I gathered at the scene of the incident, they said many cars stopped when they got to the level crossing while the Lagos State Staff Bus driver continued moving, which I don’t know why. Maybe the driver thought he could pass before the train got nearer to him. He could not pass, and then the train cr¥shed the bus. The train was coming from Ijoko to Iddo.”

UK-based Nigerian educationist, Dipo Awojide warns against demonising Nigeria while narrating his experience of waiting for up to 48 hours to get a doctor in the UK.

The media personality took to Twitter to address his reasons for being mute during the 2023 elections which many expected input from him. Clarifying his silence, Dipo Awojide revealed that he was sick and struggled to get a doctor to attend to his health needs in the UK. While discouraging demonising Nigeria, he wrote in a tweet; “Was sick after my birthday dinner. Fell down in the toilet because I was so weak. I banged my nose and passed out. Had to be revived. This picture was taken 10 days after. Twitter mob was waiting for me to comment on Nigerian politics. While I was fighting for my health 😂😂. “I couldn’t see a GP in 48 hours. Nollywood actress Chidiebere Aneke has shared a piece of advice to actresses who claim producers demand sex for movie roles.

There have been countless stories online where some actresses and actors disclosed that some movie producers demand sex from them for particular movie roles or just for casting. Chidiebere Aneke while speaking in a recent interview has shared her experience. According to her, she hasn’t encountered any sex for role experience with any movie producer. She advised actresses to stop using the backdoor to gain what they want and also desist from entering producers’ rooms. In her words, Chidiebere Aneke said; “My experience over the years has been great and wonderful. It has not been easy and I am still learning. But, I thank God for everything. There are some people that come online to say that producers asked them for sex before they could be given roles in their movies. However, no one has personally come to report such an incident to me. What I will advise as the way forward is that people who say producers ask them for sex should stop going to the producers’ rooms, when they don’t have anything to do there. Whenever there are calls for auditions, these actresses should not go in through the back door.”
